May 2016

Transnusa is an airline primarily serving the eastern part of Indonesia with selected routes elsewhere. While Transnusa had been very happy operating various Fokker 50s since 2011, it added its first Fokker 70 to its fleet late 2014.

As an endorsement of Transnusa’s successful operations with Fokker aircraft, an agreement was signed in May 2016 with Indonesian trunk carries Sriwijaya, which caters for increased passenger connectivity.

Air Niugini

April 2016

Air Niugini, flag carrier of Papua New Guinea, has been a Fokker aircraft operator since its inception in 1973.  Having been operating Fokker 100s since 2006 it was decided early 2015 to add Fokker 70s to its fleet. Various Fokker 70s have since been delivered and put into service and more will follow during the course of 2016 and 2017.

With a range of over 3000 km and new ACRO seats with large effective seat pitch the Fokker 70s are ideal aircraft to operate ‘long and thin routes’ as well as short domestic sectors in an economic fashion for the next decade.

Avanti Air

January 2016

Avanti Air is an airline based in Germany, which is specialized in corporate charters and ACMI flights. In 2014 the opportunity was taken to start operations with a Fokker 100 configured with just 100 seats, all with leather upholstery and generous 35 inch (89 cm) pitch.

Reception of the Fokker 100 in the European market has been great, which resulted in adding a second Fokker 100 to its fleet in January 2016.

Insel Air

November 2014

Earlier this year Insel Air took delivery from KLM of 3 Fokker 70s. These aircraft are being used to operate services from Insel Air’s bases in Aruba and Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles to Paramaribo, Surinam and soon to Manaus, Brazil, Georgetown, Guyana and Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. The Fokker 70s have 80 brand new ACRO seats for increased effective seat pitch as well as long-range center wing tanks. Insel Air is planning to increase its Fokker 70 fleet size to 7 aircraft.

In addition, Insel Air purchased 4 Fokker 50s growing its fleet to 7 Fokker 50s.

Without doubt these additional Fokker aircraft with Fokker Services’ support assist Insel Air in its ambitions of ‘reaching higher’.
